3, Electrochemical principles:
The ions in the electrolyte are often in disorderly movement. After direct current is applied, the ions move in a directional motion. The cation moves to the cathode and gets electrons at the cathode and is reduced; the anion moves to the anode, loses electrons at the anode and is oxidized.Water, electricity and chloride ions with a certain concentration can be used to produce available chlorine (including HClO, ClO-, and Cl2) on site by electrolysis. Available chlorine, as a broad-spectrum fungicide, is able to kill bacteria or algae and shellfish in the water, so as to prevent the attachment of marine organisms on the coastal facilities and pipelines, or sterilize the water or environment.
